If you love driving in remote places like we do, you’ll appreciate that often taking a chance and heading into the unknown brings great rewards. Such was the case when we decided to drive from the oasis town of Huacachina, through the sandhills to the coast.
With no up to date information and just a line of dots on the map, we figured if it got bad we would just turn around and backtrack. As it turned out, the road was rough and the going slow but getting bogged wasn’t an issue.
Two hours of banging and crashing and we were rewarded with some of the most stunning scenery we have driven through for some time.
This is where the desert meets the sea and we hope you enjoy the photos!
We did finally get to our destination in Reserva National Paracas and spent a very pleasant night camped on the beach overlooking a bay full of fishing boats.
The sunrise wasn’t too bad either!
Gorgeous photos. Enjoying your updates very much!
