North to Alaska!

So… from here on, we head north towards Alaska. The challenge for us will be timing. There is so much to see along the way.

Our first night out of Ushuaia, we visited the Estancia Harberton and camped on a river in view of the Beagle Channel. This was the first Estancia (farm) on the Argentinian side of Tierre del Fuego (and perhaps the whole island) and we learned of the history of settlement on the island, and the subsequent impact on the original indigenous people, through this family’s history.
