Today, Friday November 9th was our first travel day. After a ‘bit of a hiccup’ getting a visa for Paraguay, (which is enough fodder for a blog post similar to the cup of tea story) we drove out of the garage at the London Palace Hotel, Montevideo some time between 2.30-3.00pm.
We’re overnighting just 80km east of Montevideo in a camp ground hosted by a Swiss couple, with about 8 other vehicles from all over the world. We arrived at 4.40-ish ‘Uruguay time’ and were greeted by many well wishers. Hot showers, a pristine Atlantic beach and offers of freshly baked ciabatta in the morning, made to order… a lovely first day out.
After 9 days in Montevideo we’re very pleased to be on the road and out of the city, lovely as it was.
That sounds great
Now the adventure begins
